Nick Norris, AICP, is the Planning Director for Salt Lake City and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He is passionate about urban places and is motivated to improve the quality of life for those that call Salt Lake City home. He enjoys helping people find workable solutions to complex land use and development issues. He has been involved in a variety of planning activities in his career, including a strategic and measured update to the Salt Lake City zoning ordinance, people-oriented development, preservation of historic buildings, and revamping the city’s general plan program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Utah.
