Christie Oostema Brown, AICP, MUP, is an urban planner with more than 25 years of experience in visioning and scenario planning projects encompassing land use, economy, environment, recreation, transportation, and related urban/urban edge issues. She opened People + Place in 2015, dedicated to community engaged, community building projects, and has recently worked on projects in Salt Lake County, Ogden, Orem, Layton, Heber, Box Elder County, and Santaquin. Prior to starting her own business, Christie was the planning director for Envision Utah and served as an adjunct associate professor in the College of Architecture + Planning at the University of Utah.
