Short Biography
Michelle Larime is a principal regional planner for the metropolitan planning organization in the Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise (Clark County) metropolitan area; she also provides technical assistance to local partners to help advance regional goals related to transportation, housing, economic development, and health. Most recently, she managed the Southern Nevada Strong 2050 plan update, which used scenario planning to inform regional housing, transportation, and economic development policy actions. Additionally, she works closely with colleagues to integrate regional goals and strategies with the Regional Transportation Plan and Transportation Improvement Program and provides support on other traditional MPO work products. She has a PhD in urban sustainability from the Melbourne School of Design, the University of Melbourne, and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
