Short Biography
Mary L. Keller, PhD, is a senior lecturer in philosophy and religious studies and an adjunct professor in African American and diaspora studies at the University of Wyoming. As a historian of religions, she studies how landscapes orient animal and human socio-ecological systems and how communities regard their own significance in the world. From the comparative study of spirit possession to the possibility of building an Indigenous lexicon for the study of religion and climate change, she pursues questions of agency and struggles for power and meaning as essential to the study of religion. She approaches scenario planning as a modern practice of world-making and narration to build social learning.
