Short Biography
Elizabeth Ginsberg is a senior policy analyst and urban planner at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). Her expertise spans from regional and long-range planning, to tax and fiscal policy and transportation finance, as well as economic development and community reinvestment strategies,. Elizabeth was a primary author of CMAP’s ON TO 2050 Plan Update, the region’s comprehensive plan, and the Plan of Action for Regional Transit, a roadmap to strengthen and secure long-term funding for the Chicago metropolitan region’s transit system. She currently leads the Futures component of The Century Plan, an effort to build consensus and secure bold commitments for a better, stronger future for northeastern Illinois. Elizabeth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, holds a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
