Short Biography
Anderson de Figueiredo is a geographer and postdoctoral research associate with the Wyoming Anticipating the Climate-Water Transition (WyACT) project. His transdisciplinary research explores how diverse communities understand and respond to climate change, with a focus on collaborative decision-making, building adaptive pathways through diverse knowledge systems (including workforce, decision-makers, and scientists), and navigating cross-scales of governance for climate adaptation planning. He draws on an ethos of collaboration and reciprocity in his work, integrating disciplinary sciences from climate scientists, hydrologists, and ecologists and supporting communities’ agency by creating spaces for social learning and a better understanding of how they can shape their futures.
