About The Netherlands Council for Real Estate Assessment

Established in 1995, NCREA supervises and monitors the quality of real estate property assessment in the Netherlands. Reporting to the minister of finance, the council audits the activities of all municipalities in the Netherlands related to the Real Estate Assessment Act. The council’s objectives include increasing trust in property taxation by improving the quality of public (mass) appraisal; promoting collaboration between public and private valuers; and enhancing transparency in the real estate market and the appraising profession.
